Lately....

The past few days, we have enjoyed time at home being lazy.
I don't think that we left the house for 2 days straight. It was nice...and much needed.
We have spent many days by the fire...

I do love a fire...but I am ready for some warmer temps! It has been too rainy and cold over the holiday break!
We have spent many evenings snugglin' and watchin' movies...
and I think Ella has definitely become part of the fam! The kids adore her.

The past few days...my heart has been heavy for 2 complete strangers, but they were part of the AU family. They were involved in a car wreck and Libbie passed away due to brain trauma.

This brought back so many memories from when Dare was in the hospital. The days were long...emotional...and unknown as far as what the future held. So, when I heard about this my heart just broke for this family...I probably felt the same emotions they went through at the hospital. I wanted to go there and tell them to be strong and give it time. Time is what healed Dare. There were numerous occasions we were told there was no hope...and we were breathing on hope alone.
My prayers are with this family & her boyfriend who is dealing with many emotions and will continue to deal with...may God wrap his arms around them and comfort them in the days to come.

Today....
It's sunny and warming up...
Mack started school back--Boo! :(
& Davis and Banks have been out scootin'!!!

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand." (Jesus speaking)

I'm so with you on the warmer temps. I want to fly south for the winter!

My heart broke when I heard about Libbie. She and my cousin Mary Catherine were pledge sisters at Auburn. Such a tragedy.

That outfit you asked about is Lolly Wolly Doodle (on Facebook but I think they have a website). And I got your email about the Pinterest goody. Thank you! Would you believe I've just jumped on that bandwagon in the past week? I obviously didn't know what I'd been missing!

My heart is heavy for them as well. I can only imagine how you were flooded with memories when you heard about it. So incredibly tragic and sad.
