Monday began 2 weeks of swim lessons a trip to the doctor to find out that Davis had strep.
You know, sometimes I wonder if I am the doc of my kids. I can diagnose them pretty much point on, but just can't write out the prescription. We have a great pediatrician, who is also a friend and takes care of my babies as if they were her on. I love and appreciate that.
Okay, so we began swim lessons on Tuesday since we were out of commision of Monday. Davis woke up fever free and he made his debut showing off his self-taught swimming skills. He has been jumping off the diving board at mom's house since we returned home from the beach and swimming all the way to the shallow end. I've been very proud of him and have enjoyed my time relaxing for the first time in almost 8 years on a float.
Today..a different story.
It was bad. reallllllly....really bad!
We took Davis into swim lessons as I pulled him off of me screaming, I handed him to his teacher and jetted out the door. Really? He was SCREAMING.
I couldn't imagine what his deal was...I was sweating listening to him and embarrased for his behavior.
Mack and I sat outside in a chair. I was praying that someone or something would make it stop.
Mack looks at me and says, "mama this is just embarrasing. he is screaming so loud that we can hear him outside. he's going to be in big trouble, right?" I replied, "yes he is, hopped up and said watch my purse" and went inside and pulled him out of the pool, took him to the bathroom and gave him something to think about, which he didn't think about at all, because it did.not.stop. Oh.My.Word. He so was that kid.
Needless, to say 45 minutes later, swim lessons were over. He literally screamed and floated around on someones shoulder like a 2 yr old throwing a temper tantrum. After a more intense conversation ;) when we got home, I don't think (I pray) it will not be something that happens again tomorrow.
I don't think my nor his swim teachers nerves can handle it.
But, don't you worry, I'll keep you posted...
Happy long stressful Wednesday!

That is precisely why we had someone come to the house for swim lessons last year. I know it wasn't funny while it was happening but your recap cracked me up. :) Hopefully today was better. And yes, I'll bring you some 'maters. Can't wait!!
I have been there before...will get better and I will pray for Davis that he will over come his obstacle! We are missing school...take care!!
