On Wednesday, Davis and I went up to Mackenzie's school to celebrate her birthday, 8th birthday that is ( I am still in shock..Really?? I have a 8 year old!) with her classroom friends! This was a request by the birthday girl herself, so I called her teacher, Mrs Patton to ask which day would be best...she said either this Wednesday or the last week of school...I chose this Wednesday, because I thought that the last week of school would be hectic plus I am needing to take advantage of my time because we are leaving for the beach for a week on either Friday or Saturday! We went and ordered her a cake a few days before and of course, she loved it and said it looked just like her! ; ) My sweet girl!
The celebrations began with Mrs. Patton letting the lil' brother give the birthday girl 8 birthday spakins!
He, of course, loved it!
and then my favorite part..a magic wand!
The lights are turned off...Mack gets to choose the color that the wand lights up...
She sits on the floor...
Mrs. Patton (who is oh, so, fabulous as a teacher!) spins it around her and grants her the wish of turning 8!
How cute is that?? The kids just adore her and all of her creative ways!
Next, all her friends sing a Mrs. Patton style version of Happy birthday!
and then it was time to light the candles and make a wish...
Oh, how I wish I knew what sweet girl's wish was...I would love to try and make all her wishes come true in life! ;)
and then it was all she ate wrote!

I think I might need to meet this Mrs. Patton and learn some of her birthday tricks...she sounds like a pretty fabulous teacher! Happy early birthday to Mackenzie!!
