Today, was your last day as a SECOND grader!
This morning was your last morning as a 2nd grader, You quickly woke up (very unusual) and got dressed. You ate toast for breakfast, talked about today being her last day of school, and waited the honk of Mrs. Christy and Carson to pick you up.
You had your backpack and your lunch all packed. For lunch you had cheese quesadillas, cheetos, applesauce and a capri sun.You were all grins as I told you good-bye, wished you a good day, and reminded you that I love you!
On your last day to be picked up from Southview, Daddy, Davis and I came to get you. I awaited that last walk, sometimes run out the doors.

Your 2nd grade carpool group
On your last day of 2nd grade carpool pickup, your brother decided he was going to be an Auburn football player, so his outfit of choice was his AU football atire. We left the helmet at home! ;)
Mackenzie, your brother loves you to pieces. He axiously awaits the time to go and pick you up from school. Thank you for being a great big sister and example for him.
Mackenzie, you have some of the sweetest friends. God has truly blessed you. I am thankful that not only do you have great friends, but most of their moms are some of my great friends, too. May you always have a loving heart towards everyone!
As I was flipping through some of your work Mrs. Patton sent home, it was a bittersweet moment for me.
I think you going to a new school might be harder on me than you going to kindergarten. I think this, because I knew you were ready for kindergarten and that you were going to be great. I knew that there were lots of people at Southview that were going to love and care for you. I know you will be just fine at your new school, but I think it saddens me to know how fast you are growing. You are such a sweet little girl and we are so very proud of you.
I love you so much,
Mommy :)

Shea, your post is so sweet. I vividly remember the end of 2nd grade, more so than my younger years so this post makes me feel crazy old that your baby is there! It is so precious that you are recording these memories for her! YAY MOM!!!
