Today is not only May 12th, it is also a special day. Why?? It's my Dad's birthday. Wow. How do I share with you how happy & sad this day is to me. I know more than anything that my daddy is having a larger celebration than any earthly celebration we could have given him, but I also wish that he was here to say, "Happy Birthday, Daddy!!" I have so many wonderful memories with that man and not a day goes by that I don't miss his warm contagious smile. Can I share a little bit about him with you??
He was a great daddy. He picked us up from school just about every day. I am not sure if he enjoyed talking in the carpool line to all the stay at home moms or the joy it brought to him having his 3 girls ride home with him every day! ; ) He could cook anything. Now, it might be healthy, but I can say it was YUMMY!! He never met a stranger. Never. No matter where we went, we were always introduced to someone new, someone that he had just met. He was sensitive. (I share this same quality) On my wedding day, he cried as much as I did, on my graduation, he drove around the parking lot a 100 times until my mom yelled at him and said I was going to graduate no matter what, so find a spot and lets get inside. He had a heart of gold and he was a great daddy, so today I think back on lots of memories and cherish each and every one of them! Happy Birthday, Earlish!
*No pictures, I would love to have computer smarts and be able to upload old ones, but it doesn't exist within me!

We miss your dad too. He was a funny man. My favoite memory of him is on the patio, grilling and singing celebration. Those were some good times.
