We began our trip to Austin, by spending some time in New Orleans. I think we all had lots of fun! After checking in, we set out to tour the streets--and of course, we saw lots of interesting things! I just love the psychic reading sign on poster board that reads "True & professional"--it made me giggle! We had dinner at a wonderful cajun restaurant and hung out on Bourbon street for a while, the kids enjoyed listening to some guys playing music, watching some of the people act as statues (some of you may know what these talented people are called, but I have no idea)--we didn't stay out that night too late, it is very obvious when it is time to put the kids to bed! HA! The next morning, we woke up and headed to see the levees and see some of the homes that were damaged from Katrina. I wish we could have had someone with us that could tell us what the writing on the houses symbolized, it was really sad to see & realize what those poor people went through! After touring all of this, we hit the beaten trail again...Austin, Texas Bound! More on this later....
