Happy Halloween!!

Last night was Trick or Treat night in town--it started off a lot like this....

but after Davis got the hang of it and found out that there was A LOT of sugar in store he was all game...

Mackenzie knew what it was all about and had the best time!!!

We had a great night trick or treating--Happy Halloween!!! :)

I can't believe it....

...but Davis is expanding his food groups (which basically includes: yogurt, applesauce, and anything with bread)!!! Saturday night, we went out to eat at Logan's and Mackenzie got steak and I cut a little up for Davis to try and he loved it and tonight, I cooked him some cheesesticks and he actually ate one!! Yehhhh Davis!! I am thinking that his lack of eating is the reason he ranks in the 17th percentile for weight--I hope he keeps up the good work!! :)

Daddy loves to....

carve a pumpkin every year!! I think that might be his favorite thing about Halloween...He get so excited and can't wait till we get a pumpkin so he can carve it with the kids. Last year, Mackenzie was over getting the gump out with her hands, she thought it was gross, but this year, she got her a spoon and went to town. Davis wanted a rag so he could clean the outside of the pumpkin!! :) (He might be a little OCD) Thanks Bubbs for being a great daddy and for doing this each year with the kids--they love it as much as you do!!

We saw lots of animals...Davis loved the bunnies, I tried to talk Bubba into letting us get one, but he wouldn't have it! :( As you can see in the picture, it is probably best that we don't have a little bunny at the moment, because Davis really loved to hold and then accidently knocked the bunny over! Woopsie!


And....look at this sweet little face...he started to bahhh at us when we were walking away!!

Yesterday, we headed to get Davis a new pair of boots & of course, he has fallen in love all over again with his boots! Here are a few pictures from today that we took of Davis and his new boots! Happy Wednesday!!!

Here I am...

in my big boy clothes!! :) This has never happened before...Davis wore big boy clothes to school today & he got tons of compliments!!! I know, I LOVE him in his little bubbles and jon-jons, but since it was cool this morning, we gave the big boy look a shot!! So, what do you think????

Martha gone WILD!!!!

Here are some more of my crafty creations...I know that yall will probably be so ready for me to get off my sewing high..but right, now I am just so proud of myself, I must show it off!! Some of you just don't understand how long it has taken me to get to this point..you are talking about the girl that doesn't know how to sew a button on..Mrs. Raybon (my family living teacher) would be so disappointed in me knowing that I forgot that little lesson, I have tried to get my mom to teach me (which consists of her being very impatient & her being very humored by my sewing skills...usually she would just take it from me and stitch it up in seconds vs. my hours) & I also took a jon-jon class at the sewing center here in town..I made my jon-jon in class & it was super cute, but at that moment in my life, I just really did not have time to sit and sew, I am just now circling back around and have the evenings to sit and sew (since my kids go to bed at 6:30, I have that time at night). A BIG thanks to my friend Melinda who has spent some time with me teaching me some basics.



Those of you wondering why I have the nickname "Martha"..my dear friend Amanda nicknamed me this a long time ago..so I have dedicated my sewing posts to that sweet nickname!

Just call me Martha...

I am SEWING...yep, I know it is a shocker!!! God made me super crafty in lots of areas, but this whole sewing thing, might not be the area, but I am really, really trying!! So, here are my attempts at sewing Mackenzie some pants!!! I think they turned out really cute and I am super excited to see her wear them! :)
