Go Away Fay...We wanted to play...but we had a party ANYWAY!

Today, we had Davis' 2nd birthday party & down came the rain!! I had scheduled to have his party at the park so all the kids could ride the train, but instead we had him a simple & sweet little party here at our house!! Of course, Davis did not know the difference and it worked out great!! He had the sweetest little smile on his face when we were singing Happy Birthday to him, almost like he knew this day was all about him!! Happy Birthday, Baby Davis!! We love you so much and love the smiles you put on our face!! You are such a precious little boy!!

First day of Preschool

Sorry Davis, but this just makes me giggle! :) Somehow Davis landed himself in this position & of course, I had to snap a picture before rescuing him!!! I thought this would give you a Monday morning giggle!

Life as we once knew it....

*We would sleep each morning till atleast 9!
*If we wanted to stay at home all day we could!
*Davis took a 4 to 4 1/2 hr nap every afternoon!
*No lunches to pack every night!
*I could stay up and watch tv or just relax until around 11 each night!
*I was never this tired!

And Life as we know it NOW....
*The alarm clock wakes us up every morning at 6:30!
*Mackenzie leaves for school each morning at 7:15!
*Davis only get to nap for about 2 hours!!
*Pack lunches every night!
*I am now in bed around 9 each night--if I could get everything done, my body would allow me to go to bed at probably 7:30 with the kids!
*We are on the GO until bedtime every night!!!
*I am EXHAUSTED!!!
This week, Mackenzie has been going to Cheerleading Camp at the high school...I have been so tired, I thought to myself Tuesday after working all day in my classroom at Preschool...hmmmm...wonder if I could get away with Mackenzie not going this year, well, I decided to let her since it was only 3 days and she absoulutely loved it last year and has been asking about it ever since, so I went ahead and signed her up..ran to school afterwards to pick her up and as soon as she saw me she told ME that she had cheerleading camp that afternoon---So word travels on the Kindergarten hall!!! I could have never gotten away with it!! :)

This past weekend, we went out to Richard's farm to let Davis see all the big tractors (really not sure what they were called, just know one was a bulldozer) working to dig a pond. It was eye candy to him!! Here are a few pictures that I took while we were there...

What are we doing MINUS the life of the party????

Well, we just wrapped up our 1st week of Kindergarten!!! Mackenzie has had a great time and so far, loves it! (thank goodness) We begin our day every morning at 6:30 and she has been great about getting out of bed-I was a bit concerned, since she was sleeping between 9 & 10 every day this summer!!! She doesn't really share much informtion with me on her day, I think she is too tired to tell me, but today, her teacher did confirm my thoughts that she is a HUGE talker and has gotten caught talking some! :) Woops, what's a girl to do when she has been talking/singing every breath of every day for the past 5 years??? Davis had a hard time the 1st day, of course, Mackenzie just ran right on in her room & just left Davis & I sad!! All day he would call for "Sissy" or ask "Where Sissy go?"--it was pretty pitiful!! I would say my tearful moment of her 1st day was when Mackenzie ran back up to Davis and gave him a hug & kiss and said "Bud-Bud, Sissy's got to go to school!"--how could I hold them back?? It was so sweet!!! She drives the poor little boy crazy when she is here, but he loves every minute of it and has missed it this week!! We have kept busy, playing outside, riding on the golf cart, looking and waiting for the mailman to come so we can wave, watching out the window for the "Big truck" (Garbage man), reading Nemo book (which is kinda getting old) and looking for Nemo and the shark, He is in love with Nemo at the moment, so we have been pretty busy...I caught him this morning looking out his window waiting for the "big truck" to come!!
